Panasonic has announced the new LUMIX DMC-FZ1000. This camera boasts high resolution and powerful telephoto lens performance thanks to its large 1-inch MOS sensor and 25-400mm equivalent lens.
In particular, it supports 4K video recording and 4K Photo mode, and it also features a panoramic function unique to the DMC-FZ1000. This innovative mode automatically composites a series of consecutively shot photos to create a horizontal panoramic image.
It also features image stabilization to minimize blur caused by camera shake. DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology is also implemented, and it can shoot at a high speed of up to 12 frames per second.
A 1.44 million dot EVF (Electronic View Finder) is built into the top of the body, and a 920,000 dot tilting LCD monitor is also mounted on the rear.
The estimated retail price in Japan is 79,800 yen including tax, and it is scheduled to go on sale in mid-January next year. It is expected to be an attractive product for customers who want high image quality and a powerful telephoto lens.
